Hello, I'm Sara. I have to be honest with you, never blogged before. I always imagined that if I did though, I would just write candidly about the things in life that touch me. So... here I am writing about a thought that not only touches me but changes me.
It's the thought or rather the question, do I live in the image of Christ? Yes, I am made in His image but more than that, do I "put on Jesus" for others to see? The thought struck me, God is everywhere, we can't literally see him but we can see the effects of Him through the difference we allow Jesus to make in our lives. So to that clerk at the store and the girl who made my coffee, am I being Jesus? Am I showing my family and friends the wonderful Jesus I claim to adore? Does my attitude and words reflect the image of a God who redeemed me? If we are "being renewed in knowledge in the image of our Creator", what does that look like? (Col. 3:10) Do I live in the image of Christ? It's a soul searching question that requires us to be honest with ourselves. As a ponder this over my vanilla tea latte, I send the question out to you, my fellow believers. What image do we show the world?
